That a visit to smooth hair is about so much more than just a haircut. smooth hair is the brainchild of principal stylist Mel Haines. Mel has worked in the Unley area for many years prior to opening smooth and wanted to create a boutique-style salon. In March 2026 we celebrated our 21st year but from day one our aim was (and has always been) to create a space that combines cutting edge techniques with an inviting, warm and friendly culture. Having started life with a staff of just two, the salon now employs a team of six stylists.
